Beads are one of the most common items found in pre-Christian Viking graves. Making beads by hand is extremely labor-intensive so beads were valuable and expensive. Beads were passed down to younger relatives, gathered up during raids, and eagerly purchased at the great market towns such as Haithabu (Hedeby).
This 64cm length of beads has been made here in Australia and is unique.
The beads in this image are the beads you will receive.
