Rimmed Horn Cup - As the name implies it's a cup made from horn with a flat bottom so you can rest it on the feasting table.
Cleaned and polished and ready to use.

Capacity: approx 350ml
Height: approx 13.5cm
Circumference: approx. 24cm

The horn cup pictured is a fair representation and therefore your cup will differ slightly from the image. It may be lighter or darker than the cup/s photographed with different markings. Please be aware that some tooling or scuff marks may occur.

If you have a preference please let us know in your order comments and we will do our best to satisfy - otherwise a cup of random colour will be sent.

Images of 3 cups are included to show the colour variances. You will receive only 1 (one) cup.

Horn is an organic product and as such we recommend that you include a coating of beeswax or other food grade sealant. We do not seal the sides of this cup with lacquer although the base join has been sealed.

You can use the horn cup without coating but depending on what you consume, some future contamination of the vessel is possible.

The vessel is safe to use but we still recommend a beeswax coating inside any organic food/drink vessel. This not only prevents any leaks but is also better for you in terms of health and safety.

Beeswax is naturally antibacterial and therefore better than chemical based lacquer. Both wax and lacquer can crack and flake overtime meaning they will pass through you and end up in the ecosystem, however wax is organic and will break down to its base components without leaving plastic residue in the environment.

See our video for tips on how to wax coat a horn

Beeswax is available on this site or we can do it for you.
